Fire Ban Lifted; Stage 1 Fire Restrictions in Place
Effective July 27, Jefferson County Sheriff Jeff Shrader rescinded the temporary Stage 2 Fire Ban and reinstated Stage 1 Fire Restrictions for Jefferson County. Jeffco Open Space and Denver Mountain Parks will remain in Stage 2 Fire Ban. While recent and forecasted weather helps reduce the risk of wildland fires, conditions still dictate the need for caution and continued fire restrictions.

Prairie Dog Decision at MD Board Meeting
At the July 25 Ken-Caryl Ranch Metropolitan District Board meeting, the Board took formal action to deny a request to relocate a colony of prairie dogs from the corner of Kipling and Coal Mine to the South Hogback of the KCRMD Open Space. Splash Pad Hours

Doggie Dip DayDoggie Dip Day will include three 60-minute sessions with up to 30 dogs allowed in each session. The sessions include 30 minutes of “open swim” time followed by 30 minutes of games and contests.

Pool Closure Dates
Sadly, the end of summer is near, and that means the Ken-Caryl Ranch Pools will be closing soon. The pools are scheduled to close for the season on the following dates:
- Bradford Pool: Sunday, Aug. 13
- Ranch House Pool: Wednesday, Aug. 16
- Community Center Pool: Monday, Sept. 4
Special Community Center Pool Hours Aug. 7-16: We will open the Community Center Pool at 10 a.m. Monday, Aug. 7 through Wednesday, Aug. 16.
