On November 20, 2024, the CIVIC Leadership Institute presented the Corporate Darden Award to Children’s Hospital of The King’s Daughters to recognize decades of leadership in improving the quality of life in Hampton Roads.

In accepting the award for CHKD, president and CEO Amy Sampson credited the “4,000 brilliant and talented members of Team CHKD making a difference every day,” as well as “our visionary King’s Daughters driven to improve the health of our children.” She also thanked our board of directors and our community of philanthropists whose “generosity make sure that CHKD is here for every child today, and, just as importantly, tomorrow.”

Pediatric grand rounds, sponsored by the EVMS Department of Pediatrics, part of Macon and Joan Brock Virginia Health Science at ODU, are offered weekly to faculty, community faculty, residents, medical students, and other healthcare professionals.
