After a year at "Fort Wayne's NBC," Josh Good will exit Quincy Broadcasting's NBC affiliate WPTA-TV (Channel 21.2, Fort Wayne). Before joining "Fort Wayne's NBC," Mr. Good worked in Knoxville, Tennessee at WATE-TV.

Mid-West Family Broadcasting's AC/WNSN (101.5fm, South Bend) goes all holiday music.
Where Are They Now? Former WNDU-TV producer Collin Bishop earns a promotion from Morning EP to Assistant News Director at WGRZ-TV in Buffalo, New York.
Northwest
C.V.L. Broadcasting's Classic Hits/WCVL (1550am, Crawfordsville) also heard on translator W221CS (92.1fm, Crawfordsville) flips to all holiday music. This is their first year going with all holiday music. This change also means that WCVL will drop Notre Dame play by play broadcasts during this time.
Eastcentral
Woof Boom Radio's Classic Hits/WERK (104.9fm, Muncie) flips format to all holiday music.
Central
Allen Carter joins Dispatch Broadcast Group’s NBC affiliate/WTHR (Channel 13, Indianapolis) as a reporter. Mr. Carter last worked in Mobile, Alabama as a reporter for WKRG-TV.
Westcentral
Midwest Communications drops the Classic Country format on their WDWQ (102.7fm, Terre Haute) and goes all holiday music.
Also, Midwest recently changed the call letters of their Talk/WBOW (1440am, Paris, Illinois) to WIBU, which pairs with their simulcast Talk/WIBQ (1230am, Terre Haute).
Southwest
For the past seven years, Jordan Vandenberge has reported for Nexstar Broadcasting's ABC affiliate/WEHT-TV (Channel 7, Evansville). When WEHT and WTVW became co-located, Mr. Vandenberge also reported for Mission Broadcasting's CW affiliate/WTVW-TV (Channel 28, Evansville). Mr. Vandenberge recently left Evansville for a job at WEWS-TV in Cleveland, Ohio.

Sign-on dates seem to be a prickly matter, subject to great debate, and mostly impossible to confirm. If there's something we need to add to the "calendar," please let us know. Please e-mail us if you have updated information.
November 26: In 1947, 1420am in Owensboro, Kentucky signed on as WVJS (for owner Vincent J. Steele), and remains so today. In 1959, 94.7fm in Indianapolis signed on as WFBM. Today, it's WFBQ.
November 28: In 1959, 1410am in Lafayette signed on as WAZY. Today, it's WSHY. In 1960, 94.9fm in Mount Carmel, Illinois signed on as WSAB. Today, it's WYNG.
November 29: In 1926, 1400am in Indianapolis signed on as WKBF. After NARBA, the allocation moved to 1430am. Today, it's WXNT. In 1990, 98.7fm in Anderson signed on as WQME, and remains so today. In 2006, WANE-TV (Channel 15) VP/GM Reid Chapman dies. He also was the GM of WANE(AM) when it was on 1450am. Age 86.
November 30: In 2007, former WTHI-TV/Terre Haute "The TV Weatherman" David Kirk dies. Age 83. In 2008, Former WTHI-TV/Terre Haute News Director Harry Frey dies. Age 94.
December 1: In 1948, 1360am in Mount Carmel, Illinois signed on as WVMC. It didn't stay WVMC the whole time, but returned to those call letters in 1997. In 1971, 103.1fm in Henderson, Kentucky signed on as WBIC. Today, it's WGBF-FM. In 1991, former WOWO/Fort Wayne GM Carl Vandagrift dies. In 1997, WOWO/Fort Wayne music librarian and musician Sam DeVincent dies. Age 79.
December 2: In 1974, sportscaster Dean Pantazi arrives at WPTA-TV, and remains there today. In 1992, 101.1fm in South Whitley signed on as WLZQ. Today, it's WIOE.
Employment Opportunities
WBCL in Fort Wayne, Indiana, is starting an Urban Gospel and Praise online station. This will not be another online jukebox. This station will have the same mission as WBCL with the same personality-oriented and community-driven mindset.
We need our first full time employee to be someone who has a passion for interaction with listeners on-air and in person within the African American community.
You must:
• Have at least three years of on-air terrestrial radio experience
• Strong social/digital media skills
• Experience with scheduling music using MusicMaster software
• Extensive audio production experience using Adobe or similar software
• Be willing and able to host the am drive slot (6am to 10am weekdays)
• Have complete and enthusiastic buy-in to our mission
• Know this music format on a deep level
• Be very comfortable interviewing people from all walks of life for live shows and longer pre-recorded interviews
• Look forward to being the initial champion of this station to the public
• Understands how and able to create fun, entertaining, local radio
