Comegys Programming Highlights
Kingsessing Access Center students had a great first nutrition lesson with Ms. Kaya last Friday!
They went from "What's nutrition? Is that like lettuce?" to "I wish Ms. Kaya could teach us every day so we could make yummy snacks every day!"
They enjoyed learning about MyPlate and made parfaits featuring dairy, fruits and whole grains.
Hamilton/Mitchell Programming Highlights
During the Hamilton/Mitchell Snack Time Afterschool Activity, students and staff try out different ways to create healthy, nutritious, and great tasting snacks every Friday from 4-5pm. Last week we made homemade granola bars!

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Heaping 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
