From Villanova's Media Room: Villanova’s newest wildcat is a dog! Meet Taffy, a two-year-old female Labrador/Golden Retriever who joined Public Safety in March as the latest member of the force. A highly trained full-time community canine and therapy dog, Taffy can be found on campus working closely with her handler and caretaker, Officer Amy Lenahan.

Villanova University President, the Rev. Peter M. Donohue, OSA, PhD, today announced a $20 million gift from Bancel Philanthropies to support students enrolled at Villanova as part of the University’s partnership with The Posse Foundation, one of the most prestigious college access, success and youth leadership development programs in the U.S. This transformational gift is the largest to fund scholarships in the history of Villanova and will fully cover the undergraduate education of a total of 50 Posse Scholars over the next five years.

Villanova University has announced a $1.25 million gift from Brian F. Prince, President and CEO of Hegemon Capital, Inc., to endow the director of the Office of Veteran and Military Service Members. Previously, Mr. Prince funded the University’s Prince Family Veterans Resource Center, which hosts veteran-focused programming, Veterans Affairs (VA) benefits, career counseling and assistance with military-to-civilian transition. The Prince family’s total giving to veteran and military services member initiatives at Villanova is now more than $2.5 million.

Main Line College Fair May 24th - Finneran Pavillion

For over three decades, Villanova University, in conjunction with the Pennsylvania Association for College Admission Counseling (PACAC) has hosted the Main Line Regional College Fair. With nearly 175 colleges in attendance, this is a great opportunity for area high school students and their parents or guardians to start their college search by learning more about the colleges and universities that they are interested in. All high school students and their families are welcome.

Villanova University is pleased to celebrate the Class of 2023 with a series of events, for students and their guests, culminating in Commencement ceremonies on Friday, May 19th and Saturday, May 20th.
Please note:
- In the event of severe weather, there will be necessary adjustments to the current schedule. Events would take place on the same scheduled day; however, time changes and/or further guest limitations may be necessary to accommodate indoor ceremonies. Changes will be posted to Villanova's 2022 Commencement website.
While the timing of events is spread out, please be advised that traffic will be heavy around the University throughout Commencement.

Membership
The Friends of Villanova program is offered by Villanova University to our neighbors in Radnor Township and select neighborhoods in Lower Merion Township that are contiguous to our main campus. Residents of Radnor and select areas of Lower Merion may, for an annual fee, access University facilities such as the Fitness Center at the Davis Center and the Pavilion Pool, on a limited recreational basis.
If you are interested in joining the program, please visit villanova.edu/fovmembership to submit an application. Please allow 3-5 business days for staff to complete the review and verification process. Once the process is complete, you will be notified of your status via email.

A Painter's Pilgrimage: The Secular and Liturgical Works of Father Richard G. Cannuli, O.S.A (1947-2019)
From the Art Gallery: In A Painter’s Pilgrimage, we encourage you to explore the secular and liturgical works of Father Richard G. Cannuli, O.S.A. (1947-2019). This exhibition highlights the multitude of mediums he used, his penchant for travel, the relationships he forged and the lasting impression he left on art education and our community.
A Painter's Pilgrimage is currently on view in Villanova's Art Gallery through August 14th. The Art Gallery is located on the second floor of the Connelly Center, in the hear of Villanova's main campus. The Art Gallery is free and open to the public year round.
