Friday, June 8th @ 5:30

All rising 4th, 5th, and 6th graders are invited to a backyard party at the Flowers' home. Davis Flowers wants to get to know you!

Join him for food, games and water fun at 147 Sumac Drive!

This Sunday, June 10th: Join PHUMC at the MS Braves game @ 5:00 pm. We have reserved tickets between Home Plate and 1st Base for all who contacted the office. (Philip Messner will have your tickets on Sunday. You may pay him then, ($12 per ticket), pay online, or you may text-to-pay by sending a text with the amount you owe like this: $12Braves to 601-509-4735.) Of course, anyone is welcome to join us at the last minute - you may purchase tickets Sunday at the gate. ($14 per ticket) We will be sitting in Section 116.

Saturday, June 16th: Women of the church: join Dawn for the 2018 Women Build.

Work slots are from
7:45 am - noon,
1:00 pm – 4:00 pm,
or all day (7:45 – 4:00). We already have a great group planning to work, including Susan Branson, Karen Camp, Dawn Flowers, Pat Franklin, Monique Henderson,
Allison Jordan, Barbara Pepper, Mary Lee Reed and Teresa Whitehead. Did we miss anyone? We can always use more volunteers: let us know right away. We'll send you an email with all the information you need, as well as a waiver to complete.

This year's Vacation Bible School will be held June 18th - 20th right here at Parkway Hills from 5:30 - 8:00 pm. (Dinner is included each evening!)

On the final night, June 21st, we'll celebrate. Our children will have learned BIG lessons from the story of Jonah, and we will apply them by inviting all the families that live around Friendship Park in Ridgeland to join us for a Summer Solstice Party!

Women Speak of God

I am eagerly awaiting being with women of our church again to spend time with one another and reflect on our faith together. (Over the summer we will meet on Sunday evenings, but will return to Monday evenings in the Fall.) Our first gathering will be Sunday, June 24th at 6:30 pm at my house. We will be using a video study from The Work of the People entitled "Transforming Through Love." (Watch the trailer here)

Early this morning, a group from Parkway Hills visited Grace Place to worship, share communion, serve a meal and deliver much needed supplies. What a blessing it was to share God's love with those who call the streets of Jackson their home. Jerry Sandlin is writing a narrative about today's visit; we will share the whole story soon!

Last Sunday's Parent/Youth Volleyball Showdown was a blast! (I've learned we have some seriously competitive folks!) Parents came out on top this year winning 2 out of 3 games... but a rematch is already in the works!
