Chizek traces the history of their production and reception, and considers competing interpretations of these prints, which are regarded as Dürer’s most notable accomplishments. The Department of Visual Art's Off-Site Art Space invites the community to attend its upcoming “KU Student Art Sale”, showcasing the talent and creativity of students from the Department of Visual Art at the University of Kansas.
This exciting two-day event will feature a wide variety of artwork for sale, ranging from paintings and ceramics to prints and jewelry. Each day will feature its own unique live demonstrations.
Friday evening during the Preview Night, visitors can enjoy live portrait drawings by student artists, giving guests the chance to take home a one-of-a-kind, hand-drawn portrait. Friday attendees will also enjoy complimentary light refreshments as they browse the student artwork.
Saturday will bring family-friendly fun with balloon animals available for kids and adults alike. On both days, visitors can watch as students demonstrate live T-shirt printing; guests can bring their own shirts to print on or purchase one at the event.
This art sale is the perfect opportunity to support student artists, find unique holiday gifts, and engage with the creative community at KU. Whether you're attending to purchase artwork, enjoy live demonstrations, or just experience the atmosphere, there is something for everyone.
All proceeds will directly support Visual Art Students and Clubs
