HES, Great Outdoor Provision Co. Breaking Down Barriers with Outdoors For All Award

NC State’s Department of Health and Exercise Studies has partnered with the Great Outdoor Provision Co. to provide an award that reduces the costs for students to take Outdoor Leadership courses.

- Energy Week is coming up at NC State! This year’s week of events will is set for Sept. 25-29, and University Communications has put together a promotion kit for the 13 events.
- The Black Male Initiative Living and Learning Village is running a crowdfunding campaign for a trip to the Men of Color National Summit.
- Makeathon is also running a crowdfunding campaign for sustainable innovation.
- The NC State TRIO Ronald E. McNairs Scholars Program is now accepting applicants from undergraduate students. Faculty and staff who are McNair alums are being asked to complete this form, and, if you wish to have Trio staff come to your classroom to speak to students about the scholarship, email trio-mcnair@ncsu.edu to schedule.
- The Gregg Museum of Art is hosting a curator tour of the popular exhibition “This is Not: Aldwyth in Retrospect” on Thursday, Sept. 14 at 6 p.m. Register here.
- Cimarrón, a Colombian joropo folk futurist band, is playing a Stewart Theatre on Thursday, Sept. 14. Buy tickets here.
- The Department of Performing Arts and Technology is hosting “Abstractum: Music by Contemporary Iranian Composers” at Talley Student Union on Sunday, Sept. 17. Learn more here.

- Reminder: Students can submit their on-campus rooms to University Housing’s Wolf Den Challenge for the chance to win prizes in various categories. The submission form closes at 11:59 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 15. Please share the form with your students.
