Faculty duo receive book award
Drs. Leland Spencer and Theresa Kulbaga received the Outstanding Book Award from the Organization for the Study of Communication, Language, and Gender for their book on sexual justice language and policy in higher education around the concept of consent.

CNN host headlines upcoming Menard Family Center for Democracy virtual events
Brian Stelter, chief media correspondent for CNN Worldwide and host of CNN’s weekly program Reliable Sources will present the Menard Family Center’s Fall Lecture entitled “The Role of the Media in American Democracy,” on Monday, October 19, at 7 p.m.

Alumnus recognized by Crain's "Cleveland Business"
Miles Senior has been recognized by Crain’s “Cleveland Business” as one of the Twenty in Their 20s, and the country’s youngest payment system risk subject-matter expert. He completed his Miami bachelor’s in liberal studies in 2017 while doing an internship with the Federal Reserve.
