Pool Area Construction Update
The team continues to make great progress on the pool area! Crews have been working hard, and we’re excited to share that the first concrete pour was successfully completed on March 16.
This is an important milestone in the construction process and marks the next major step toward bringing the refreshed pool area to life. While the official construction schedule shows the pool area reopening on June 10, our project team remains optimistic that the timeline will be accelerated and will continue looking for opportunities to move the schedule forward whenever possible.

New Mailroom – Upcoming Transition
We’re excited to share that the new mailroom is nearly ready! Most residents’ new mailbox keys and box numbers have been delivered to your old mailbox in the temporary mail trailer in a labeled envelope. Please note that your mailbox number will be changing.
The transition to the new mailboxes will begin on Monday, March 23, and all new mail will be delivered to the new mailroom starting that day. During the transition, there may be a brief period when your mail could be in either location as the post office completes the transfer of previously delivered mail.
Residents will have access to both their current mailbox in the mail trailer and their new mailbox in the Ranch House mailroom through Sunday, March 29. The temporary mail trailer will no longer be accessible starting Monday, March 30.
If you haven’t already, please stop by the temporary mail trailer to pick up your envelope containing your new mailbox key and number. When picking up your envelope, be sure to confirm that the address listed matches your home address.
Please hold onto your current mailbox keys until the temporary mail trailer is removed. After its removal, you may safely discard them.
If you are out of town and unable to pick up your keys before the temporary mail trailer is removed, please visit the Carbondale USPS. Be sure to bring a photo ID and a piece of mail showing your address.

Protecting Common Area Turf |
As we transition out of winter, our lawns and the irrigation systems beneath them are especially vulnerable to damage. The ground is still soft from snowmelt, and parking on the grass can easily cause ruts or impact the irrigation lines below.
Please help us keep the community looking its best by reminding contractors, visitors, and household members to avoid parking or driving on grassy areas throughout RVR. A little extra care this time of year goes a long way in protecting our shared spaces. Thank you for helping keep RVR beautiful!

One or Two Tennis Courts Ready Soon!
The recent stretch of warm weather signals that tennis season is just around the corner. RVR’s maintenance crew is already hard at work preparing the clay courts, which are a favorite among members and considered some of the finest facilities in the valley.
Getting the five Har-Tru courts ready is a detailed process that requires significant effort from the grounds crew, especially with the challenges of cold and wet weather early in the season. Thanks to their hard work and unseasonably warm and dry weather, we anticipate that one or two courts will be open and ready for play the week of March 30.
The reconditioning of the clay courts includes several steps: cleaning, leveling, top dressing, rolling, and lining the courts. Click here to learn more about these five steps and how the process unfolds. Click here for the tennis page on the RVRMA website.
Updates will be shared in the weekly news.
Did you know? The RVR crew manually adds 20,000 pounds of clay to the tennis courts each season!

Stay Alert: Spot Phishing Before It Hooks You |
Phishing and spoofing emails continue to be a common tactic used by cybercriminals. While these messages can look legitimate, a quick click can put your information at risk so it’s important to stay cautious.
Cybercriminals often use information from public sources to impersonate real people. An email may show a familiar name, but the actual address could be slightly altered, so don’t rely on appearance alone. Always double-check the sender.
They may also use fake links that lead to convincing but fraudulent websites designed to steal passwords or account details or impersonate trusted contacts to gain your confidence.
If something feels off, pause. Don’t click—verify first.

| Lawn Fertilization and Aeration |
Beginning on Monday, March 3.
We will begin turf plug aeration and fertilization application in Master Common Areas, as well as the Settlement and Old Town, beginning on Monday, March 30 (weather dependent) using all organic products.
Proper turf aeration provides for efficient use of water as it allows for greater penetration of surface applied irrigation water and minimizes surface run-off. Additionally, the aeration allows for the introduction of air into the soil which diminishes compaction and promotes soil health and root growth.
If you live in The Settlement or Old Town, please help the crews by keeping areas maintained by RVRMA clear of any debris and especially dog poop!
If you would like to be added to our opt-out list or have any questions, please email travis.green@rvrma.org.

Fire Safety Tip | Simple Upgrades for a Safer Home |
Did you know that small home maintenance upgrades can help reduce fire risk? Installing metal gutter guards can prevent dry leaves and debris from collecting in your gutters, materials that could ignite if embers land there during a wildfire. Choosing a fine mesh size of 1/8 or 1/16 inch helps block embers while still allowing water to flow through. As a reminder, do not screen dryer vents with 1/8 or 1/16 inch fine mesh as this can increase the likelihood of fire.
It’s also a good idea to install screens over attic and crawlspace vents to help keep embers from entering your home. While you’re thinking about airflow, regular HVAC vent and duct maintenance is another smart step. Cleaning vents and removing dust buildup helps improve efficiency and reduces potential fire hazards.
A few simple maintenance steps can go a long way toward protecting your home while keeping everything running smoothly year-round.

Carbondale Advances Wildfire Preparedness |
The Town of Carbondale is using new, advanced wildfire modeling to better understand how wildfire could spread through our community and how to reduce risk. To make the modeling as accurate as possible, residents are asked to complete a quick, voluntary home survey. The information will only be used for wildfire planning (not inspections or enforcement), and participants can be entered to win local prizes. Click here to take the survey.

Meet Our New Instructor, Gavin Webb! |
Gavin Webb is a Willits native and Basalt High School graduate with a lifelong passion for sports and movement. After competing in football and snowboarding, he developed a deep interest in training during middle school, influenced by his mother, a personal trainer, and his sister, a physical therapy assistant.
Now an ISSA-certified trainer, Gavin specializes in functional and corrective training. He identifies as a hybrid athlete, prioritizing strength, mobility, and resilience. He believes clients don’t have to choose between looking strong and feeling strong — they can build both. His mission is simple: help people of all ages move confidently, perform better, and become stronger, more capable athletes.
