UMSL ranked on Military Times ‘Best for Vets: Colleges’ list for 9th consecutive year

The University of Missouri–St. Louis has continually worked to support its military-connected students, cultivating an environment where they can fully pursue their educational and career goals. In recognition of these efforts, Military Times included UMSL on its “Best for Vets: Colleges” list for the ninth consecutive year. The university was ranked No. 123 nationally, including 16th in the central region.

UMSL receives $3 million grant for new school counseling partnership with Riverview Gardens School District


UMSL Assistant Professor Dr. Mary Edwin and Associate Professor Dr. Emily Brown collaborated to develop the Partnership for Antiracist Counselor Training (PACT) program, which will place 64 UMSL counseling interns in 13 high-need schools.

UMSL COE Teach in 12 graduate Sam Cross makes math education approachable

Sam Cross will graduate from the College of Education’s Teach in 12 program this weekend. Cross, who has a background in economics and statistics, worked as a data analyst before deciding to change career paths.

Student organizations foster community and connections on campus 


Organizations such as the UMSL Chess Club are connecting students across campus. Founded by Corey Hancock, Counseling PhD student, the Chess Club plans to increase its event programming throughout the year, with anticipation to attend at least one competitive chess tournament at the St. Louis Chess Club. 

UMSL Succeed Student Lawrence Sapp is Making Waves at UMSL and around the world!

UMSL student Lawrence Sapp has been a member of Team USA Swimming since 2017, when he won gold in the 100-meter backstroke at the World Para Swimming Championships in Mexico City.

If you are a high school student (especially junior or senior students) residing in the City of St. Louis or attending St. Louis Public Schools and have documented developmental disabilities, this is your chance! We have several upcoming open houses. Please join us to learn more about inclusive postsecondary education.
