There's so much to look forward to this year, and the Navigator is here to keep you in know! In this first issue of the fall semester, we will inform you of upcoming events, connect you with campus resources, and offer recommendations for an enriching first-year experience. Hullabaloo Hello is just the beginning of a year-long orientation to Tulane University, and the fun is just getting started! Throughout these first two weeks of classes, there will be a parade of opportunities for you to reconnect with campus resources and continue building community with your classmates. Mondays at Mussafer Mussafer Hall
Hosted by the Office of First-Year Experience (FYE), Mondays at Mussafer is designed to connect first-year students with campus resources eager to support your success. Enjoy lively conversation, fun activities, free snacks, and exclusive first-year giveaways.

Hosted by the Lavin-Bernick Center for Student Life (LBC), Tulane Tuesday is a weekly event designed to celebrate our school spirit as Tulanians. Wear your Tulane gear to receive a special treat each week!

Global Café Lavin-Bernick Center, Rosenberg Mezzanine
Global Café is a gathering place for internationally-minded Tulanians to build friendships and global understanding by actively engaging and learning from one another. This program is sponsored by the Office of International Students and Scholars (OISS), Office of Study Abroad, Center for Global Education (CGE), Freeman Study Abroad, Tulane Law School, and the Lavin-Bernick Center for Student Life (LBC). The first event will take place on September 5.

Wednesdays with the Center for Intercultural Life Richardson Building, Room 115
Hosted by the Office of Multicultural Affairs (OMA), Wednesdays with the Center for Intercultural Life invites students to enjoy free lunch and intercultural life updates in the Carolyn Barber Pierre Center for Intercultural Life (CIL). Get to know the leaders of our multicultural student organizations and engage with OMA's co-sponsors throughout the year.

Equity Thursdays Richardson Building, Room 115
Hosted by the Center for Academic Equity (CAE), Equity Thursdays is a weekly conversation and lunch series. CAE offers workshops, presentations, and discussions led by members of the Tulane community and guests from Greater New Orleans. Join to discuss cutting edge research, explore academic opportunities, and reflect on the intersection of identity and the academic experience.

Treat Yourself Thursdays Richardson Building, Suite 101
Enjoy a chair massage from a licensed professional. In the waiting room, engage with our decompressions session. Music, coloring books, essential oils and a new activity weekly with the Office of Multicultural Affairs (OMA) and The Well for Health Promotion.

Enjoy free donuts every Friday in Cudd Hall lobby while supplies last. Free Donut Friday begins on August 25.

Front Porch Friday (monthly) Cudd Hall
Hosted by Newcomb-Tulane College (NTC), Front Porch Friday is a monthly student event outside of Cudd Hall where students can network with peers and NTC departments while enjoying live music, local food, and more! The first event will take place on September 1.
5pm-6:30pm
First-Gen Fridays (monthly) Mussafer Hall, Room 100
Hosted by the Center for Academic Equity (CAE), First-Gen Fridays is a monthly event series where we bring first-gen students together for free food and resources to help build a sense of community and a network of support for our first-generation college students. The first event will take place on September 8.

During the first two weeks of class, First-Year Advising is offering Drop-in Advising in Mussafer Hall. Drop-ins are Monday-Friday from 10am-4pm in Mussafer Hall starting today, August 21, and ending on September 1. No appointment necessary!

The Residential Faculty Mentor (RFM) Program aims to increase meaningful engagement between full-time faculty and first-year students. RFMs support your transition to the academic and social communities of the university through co-curricular experiences and office hours held in your residence hall.

The Tulane Undergraduate Assembly would like to remind you that election week for first-year delegates is just around the corner! From August 21st – August 23rd you will have the chance to meet your candidates on McAlister and chat with them about their vision for Tulane, and voting will be on August 24th and 25th on WaveSync. First-years are the only ones eligible to vote in this election, so make sure your voice is heard!
