| Cunningham Addresses Psychometric Group |
Dr. Mary Margaret Cunningham, assistant professor of educational leadership, and director, Center for Excellence in Education, presented research at the International Meeting of the Psychometric Society in Seoul, Republic of Korea. Cunningham co-authored a study with three colleagues from the University of Arkansas. Their findings are intended to help researchers choose more reliable factor-retention methods when developing instruments under realistic conditions, where clean factor structure and normally distributed data are rarely guaranteed.

Jackson Emphasizes Historical Analysis |
Dr. Wesley Jackson, assistant professor of history, was interviewed by Arkansas Advocate regarding how the Sept. 11, 2001, terror attacks on the United States shaped his approach to teaching. Jackson emphasized the importance of examining multiple information sources to help develop one’s understanding of the subject. Jeon, Leslie and Desai Study Use of AI in K-12 Classrooms |

A paper co-authored by Seung Ho Jeon, a graduate student in accountancy and business analytics, with Dr. H. Steve Leslie, associate professor of business communication, and Dr. Hrishikesh Desai, associate professor of accounting, has been published in the Proceedings of Machine Learning Research. Their research grew out of work conducted in collaboration with the state Department of Higher Education. They surveyed educators from nine Arkansas school districts regarding the use of artificial intelligence in K–12 classrooms. Their paper proposes a structured framework for the responsible use of AI in education, with a particular focus on cognitive preservation.

| Kumar Presents Research at Harvard |
Dr. Nilesh Kumar, instructor in management, recently presented research at the Open and User Innovation Conference at Harvard Business School. He explored how individuals, particularly those without technical expertise, develop trust in artificial intelligence (AI) and how that trust influences their willingness to participate in collaborative activities in the emerging industry 5.0 era. Kumar also has been appointed editorial adviser to the Journal of Nursing Management, for which he previously was an associate editor.
