Study Tips Based on the Final Format
|
You’ve been a student long enough to know that effective studying can look very different depending on the course material, and you also know how tedious finals preparation can become when study in the same place and in the same way for too long. Read below for suggested study methods and study spots depending on the work you have to do:
- Writing a paper
-
Make the most of your time with the Pomodoro technique
- Keep track of your sources and cite easily with Zotero
-
Suggested study spots: the ISAC reading room, Harper Memorial Library, Fairgrounds Coffee and Tea
- Studying for a final exam
- Constructing a final project
-
Improve your focus with these counterintuitive, science-backed tips
-
Suggested study spots: Logan Arts Center, McCormick Tribune Lounge in Reynolds Club, Hallowed Grounds Café
Keep in mind that these are only ideas, and what actually works best depends on the person. Good luck with finals, and don’t forget to get good food and sleep!
