A Conversation with Jenn! |
An Inside Look at Our Mental Health Services Team |
Jenn is a staff psychologist who uses multicultural and intersectional approaches to support students with historically marginalized identities, especially Latinx/e and LGBTQIA+ clients. Her clinical focus includes identity development, self-esteem, anxiety, relationship concerns, career counseling, and training/supervision.
When students are stressed, Jenn always recommends a change of scenery. As the cold weather settles in, she suggests stepping outside for a moment to enjoy a breath of air during study breaks. Outside of work, Jenn enjoys collage, art museums, and thrifting.

| Finals Week Perspective: Your Journey Doesn’t Have to Be Linear 📈
|
In this talk, David Epstein gently pushes back on the idea that you need to find your purpose early. Through stories of mathematicians, athletes, and other so-called late bloomers, he shows how exploring, drifting, and trying things out can lead to a more authentic path.
As we head into finals week, his message feels especially grounding. It’s easy to believe that our worth rests on immediate outcomes or perfectly linear progress. But this video invites us to step back and remember that school is only one part of who we are becoming. Even now, amid deadlines, exams, and pressure, we can take time to pause, breathe, and trust that it’s okay to still be figuring things out. Real growth doesn’t come from rushing or forcing ourselves into a narrow path, but from learning with curiosity, patience, and kindness toward ourselves.
