Children's Moment

Thank you to all the wonderful volunteers who participated in our book recordings for the students at East Flora Elementary. This month we have shared an additional 26 recordings of a wide variety of books from Eric Carle's Polar Bear, Polar Bear, What Do You Hear? to Tiki and Ronde Barber's My Brother By My Side. A special "thank you" also goes to those who donated the books they read. We are pleased to learn that, in addition to the teachers using these recordings in their classrooms, students will also have access to them on their personal devices at home. A guaranteed bedtime story for those who may not have someone to read to them at night. Warms our hearts! To learn more about EFE reading opportunities contact  Allison Jordan.
The Bridge Dates to Mark: 
I can't wait to spend time with our 5th and 6th graders preparing for confirmation.  Mark these dates and make sure you let us know if your child plans to attend.  Friends encouraged to join us!
October 10-11: Overnight trip to Gulfport Aquarium.  We will leave after church Sunday, stay at Seashore Assembly in Biloxi on Sunday night, tour the Aquarium and head home Monday. RSVP by Sept. 26,
and we will need chaperones.  
Saturday, November 6: Community Service Day, details to come.

Lecture Series at Galloway


The TW Lewis Lecture Series, "Jesus & a Just Society" presents its inaugural series, "The Problem With Jesus," delivered by Rev.Dr. Miguel de la Torre, Saturday October 16. The four lectures will take place at Galloway UMC from 9:45 until 5:00.  For more information click here.

Prayer Quilt Ministry meets every Monday from Noon to 3:00.
Join us in the Garden Multipurpose Room to create beautiful, comforting quilts for children in distress. 
Our Mobile Giving App is Changing! GivePlus+, our mobile giving app, is being retired September 30.  Download the new giving app, Vanco Mobile.  When you switch to the new app, your user ID and password should remain the same and all recurring gifts currently scheduled will be made. We hope this will be a smooth changeover, but feel free to give us a call with any questions.
