Outsmart superbugs.
When taken the right way, antibiotics are powerful, lifesaving medicines. Germs can change. Medicines, if misused, may not work right—or maybe not at all. Superbugs can make it hard to treat curable illnesses. And it can take longer to heal.
So, what are some of the best ways to save antibiotic strength? These old-fashioned methods still apply today:
  • Wash your hands often with soap and water, or use a hand sanitizer.

  • Take all your medicine as your doctor tells you to, even if you start feeling better.

  • Don’t save medicine for a future illness, and don’t share with others.

  • Maintain a healthy lifestyle, including good hygiene, nutrition and exercise to help you stay well.
Exercise, along with other healthy habits, can boost immunity. Sign in to your Well-Being Account and set up your Exercise or Steps Tracker to record your activities.
