Its finally here: The week we have all been waiting for!

Plan to take part in the events celebrating the Inauguration of Rev. Robert A. Dowd, C.S.C., as the University’s 18th president.

Campus 

Faculty, staff, and families invited to campus-wide Inauguration Picnic

The entire campus community is invited to kick off the Inauguration festivities with a celebratory picnic. Enjoy a variety of free food offerings, including a taco tent, smokehouse barbecue, a global foods tent, a dessert station, and many local food trucks.
Dont miss the live entertainment, including special performances by Irish band The High Kings, local cover band Jerry OFonics, and Céilí Banda group of Notre Dame faculty, staff, and students who play traditional Irish music. Lawn games and photo opportunities will also be available.

Notre Dame Forum 

Notre Dame features four fireside chats with innovative leaders

Since it was established in 2005, each year the Notre Dame Forum invites dialogue about an issue of importance to the University, the nation, and the larger world. The Notre Dame Forum Inauguration Series will feature four thought-provoking “fireside chats” with global leaders on the topic of What do we owe each other? Come to one of the sessions or all four.

Convocation and Inauguration Ceremony

For just the third time in its 182-year history, Notre Dame will celebrate the Inauguration of a new president. During this ceremony, Father Dowd will be formally installed as our 18th president. The Convocation and Inauguration Ceremony will be livestreamed on nd.edu.

The celebration continues: Jon Batiste concert and a unique surprise

Download your tickets and add them to your digital wallet prior to attending the concert so they are ready to scan upon entry. Here’s what you need to know about entry, bag policy, prohibited items, concessions, and parking. Questions about tickets? Email tickets@nd.edu. 
Following the Jon Batiste concert, look to the sky for a special Inauguration surprise once the sun goes down! Enjoy a coordinated aerial light show created by hundreds of drones and set to music. Gather outside Gate B, the Ara Parseghian Gate, on the southeast side of Notre Dame Stadium for optimal views.
