| Summer Cooking Class Series
Our WIC nutritionists are excited to partner with MU Extension this summer to bring a series of FREE cooking classes to parents and kids.
Parents will attend the Cooking Matters class while, next door, kids ages 5-10 can attend the Kids in the Kitchen class. Both will learn tips and tricks for making meals that are healthy, easy, and affordable.
Fridays June 2 through July 7 (6 sessions)

Important Medicaid Info
Starting April 1, the Missouri Family Support Division will be required to check the eligibility of all MO HealthNet (Missouri Medicaid) participants.
Missourians receiving health care coverage through MO HealthNet or any of the Managed Care health plans (Healthy Blue, Home State Health, or United Healthcare) need to get ready to submit their annual renewal before the end of their coverage year.
If you have moved in the last three years, you should update your address with the Family Support Division online. You can also call 855-373-4636 or visit a local resource center to update contact information.

| Local Organizations Invited to Join Family Fun Day
If you are part of an organization, business or community group related to health/wellness and located in or connected to Clay County, Missouri - we would love your participation in the 7th annual Family Fun Day!
Qualified participants will be invited to host a booth, tent, activity, performance or class during the event at no cost. The most compatible types of organizations for this family-friendly event would be ones that support or promote:
- Physical activity
- Nutrition/healthy eating
- Safety
- Mental health and wellness
Healthcare
Education and literacy
Family Fun Day will be on Saturday, Sept. 16 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Macken Park in North Kansas City.

What Does it Mean?
The End of the Public Health Emergency
The federal government plans to end the COVID-19 Public Health Emergency on May 11, 2023. There will be some changes after May 11 that everyone should be aware of. However, federal, state, and local public health agencies will continue most activities to help prevent and respond to COVID-19.
