Tufts Global Education is partnering with Beijing Normal University (BNU) to offer students an intensive Chinese language course focusing on Chinese culture through local excursions and trips to places with cultural and historical significance. Legacies of Liberation: Black History in Boston |
In honor of Black History Month, the Office of the Vice Provost for Institutional Inclusive Excellence (IIE) invites you to join us for "Legacies of Liberation: Black History in Boston," A Conversation with Dr. Kellie Carter Jackson and Dr. Kerri Greenidge, who are leading historians on Black History in the United States. This event will take place on Wednesday, February 26, at 1–2 p.m. in Alumnae Lounge and via Zoom. Join us for food and a great discussion.

| Drop-In Research Consultations (with Research Data Librarian) |
Do you need research help? Stop by Tisch Library on Wednesday, February 26, at 2 p.m. to meet with a librarian who can help with things such as developing keywords and search strategies, identifying and searching for sources, evaluating information types, and planning and organizing your research. Research Data Librarian, Elizabeth McCall, will be present to help with questions about research data management, including organizing, storing, and sharing your data.

On Wednesday, February 26, at 4–5 p.m. at the Interfaith Center (58 Winthrop St.), join the Graduate Hindu Student Association for a Maha Shivratri Celebration, which will include prayer, story-sharing, a guided meditation, aarti, and lunch. Democracy on the Brink Symposium |
Join a special three-day symposium from Thursday, February 27, through Saturday, March 1. "Democracy on the Brink" will bring together scholars, practitioners, and students to grapple with the challenges and opportunities that democracy faces with the global expansion of authoritarianism, populism, and extremism. Discussions will focus on critical issues like modern threats to democracy, global comparisons, justice movements under authoritarian rule, criminal justice, capitalism, and more.
