Five things you can do right now to improve your health and well-being
October 10 was World Mental Health Day, and in NSW, we also celebrate Mental Health Month in October. SPARTAN leader, Prof Anne Tiedemann from the Institute for Musculoskeletal Health, recently spoke with SBS Australia for their 'Mind Your Health' Initiative about ways we can improve our physical and mental health.
Anne's tips included: being physically active, maintaining a balanced diet, limiting your alcohol intake and cutting out smoking, keeping socially connected, checking in with yourself and those you care about. Read more here.

Join us in celebrating the diverse and innovative work of early and mid-career researchers from across FMH and the University.
This two-day event is focused on the achievements and successes of our emerging health and medical researchers. Enjoy a full program of talks, interactive sessions and career-building workshops tailored for early and mid-career researchers (EMCR), along with social mixers and networking opportunities. Each of the FMH research Networks will host a special showcase session highlighting excellent current projects and collaborations in their related disciplines and fields.

- 2022 Sydney Musculoskeletal Health Annual Scientific Meeting - EoI deadline extended to November 1st, 2022 | HDR students (Masters, PhDs) and EMCRs (up to 10 years post PhD award) are invited to present their research at the 2022 Sydney Musculoskeletal Health Annual Scientific Meeting on Wednesday 14th December, at The University of Sydney Camperdown. This will be an in person only event and presenters will have 10 minutes to present, including 7 minutes of presentation and 3 minutes for questions. Complete the EOI form here.
