The Providence Players presented "The Best Christmas Pageant Ever"
MESSAGE FROM THE HEAD OF SCHOOL
Mrs. Susan Oweis
Dear Family and Friends of PCS,
As we approach the joyous celebration of Christmas and prepare for the holiday break, we want to take a moment to reflect on the true meaning of this special season. At our school, Christ remains at the center of everything we do, and the Christmas story continues to inspire us with the message of hope, love, and peace brought into the world by our Savior’s birth.
This month, PCS students have been learning about the miraculous gift of Jesus and how His love calls us to serve others. From scripture readings and Advent devotions to our nativity play and Providence Players performance of The Best Christmas Pageant Ever, the spirit of Christ has been evident in our classrooms, hallways, and especially our hearts.
As you enjoy the holiday break, we encourage you to continue celebrating the miracle of Christmas at home. Take time to pray together, read the story of Jesus’ birth from the Gospel of Luke, and cherish the moments that remind us of God’s love made manifest through His Son.
I wish you and your family a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! May the peace of Christ fill your hearts and homes during this holy season and throughout the year ahead.
"Long Time Ago in Bethlehem"

A Long Time Ago In Bethlehem
So The Holy Bible Says
Mary's boy child, Jesus Christ
Was born on Christmas-day
Hark now hear the angels sing
A new king born today
And man will live forever more
Because of Christmas-day
While shepherds watched their flocks by night
They see a bright new shining star
And then they hear a choir sing
The music seems to come from afar
Hark now hear the angels sing
A new king is born today
And man will live forever more
Because of Christmas-day
When Joseph and his wife Mary
Came to Bethlehem that night
They find no place to born that child
Not a single room was in sight
Listen hear the angels sing
A new king born today
And man will live forever more
Because of Christmas-day
Then bye and bye they find a little nook
In a stable all forlorn
And in a manger cold and dark
Mary's little boy child was born
Hark now hear the angels sing
A new king born today
And man will live forever more
Because of Christmas day
Blessings,
Susan Oweis
SENIOR SPOTLIGHT

Noah Scott Dunsmore
What grade did you start at PCS? I started at PCS in the 3rd grade and Mrs. Hamilton was my teacher.

Do you have any favorite memories at school? One of my favorite memories was in 5th grade when we built a snow fort in Miss Oates class. It actually lasted for about 3 days. Another memory would be the year that Sherman House won the kickball tournament and the lip sync competition.

What's been your favorite area of study/subject? My favorite area of study/subject would be Biology. I remember in 9th grade we dissected a frog in Mr. Diggs Biology class.

How has PCS help you beyond just book learning? Being a House Prefect has helped develop my leadership skills and equipped me with a love for serving others.

What are your thoughts about the future, college plans? I will be attending Liberty University in the Fall. I am not sure what exactly I will study-maybe Business, Bio-Med, or Aviation.

What advice do you give to the younger students at PCS? I would say enjoy your youth and the free time that comes with it. Experiment with a lot of extra curricular things and discover what you love. Don't spend all your time on electronics.

What will you miss about PCS next year? I will miss the personal relationships that I have developed with the teachers and all the activities associated with the House system.

Parents Night Out was a huge success. One of the student activities was making and decorating gingerbread houses. SO FUN!
Dear Parents,
Have you ever wondered what it’s like to see your child in action at school, learning and engaging with our classical curriculum, their classmates and teachers? Well, now you can!
In January, we are excited to invite you to our Parent Shadow Days at PCS, taking place on January 29th and 30th. This special opportunity is exclusively for PCS parents and offers a firsthand look at the classical Christian education your children receive each day.
During Parent Shadow Days, you’ll experience how your child is being taught to think critically, interact meaningfully with their peers and teachers, and engage deeply with the material. You’ll witness the vibrant and purposeful learning environment that makes PCS unique.
More details will be shared in January, so stay tuned! We look forward to welcoming you into the classroom to see the heart of our mission in action.
Warm regards,
Susan Oweis

Parents, thank you for helping with this before your child leaves the house.
Please see Mrs. Ciprian, Mrs. Smith, or Mrs. Machie to pay your $5.00 and participate. You may pay on that day as well.

“For the sole end of education is simply this: to teach [students] how to learn for themselves;
and whatever instruction fails to do this is effort spent in vain.”
