Maximize Your CalABLE Account!

Gifting: When you set up a gifting page, your loved ones can easily make gift contributions to your account online.

Recurring Contributions: Even if it’s a small amount, regular contributions can give your savings a chance to steadily grow and earn.

Direct Deposit: Skip extra steps and make saving easier by setting up fast, secure direct deposits from the Social Security Administration or your paycheck.

529 Rollover: Rollover all or part of a 529 College Savings Plan into your CalABLE account without tax penalty (up to $18,000).

ABLE to Work: Contribute additional money to your CalABLE account when you are working (up to an additional $14,580).

2025 Contribution Limits

In 2025, the CalABLE annual contribution limit will increase to $19,000! The ABLE to Work contribution limit will also increase to $15,060.

Remember: The annual contribution limit for 2024 is $18,000 and the ABLE to Work contribution limit is an additional $14,580. Be sure to get your contributions in before the end of the year!

Holiday hours for Thanksgiving. Please be advised that on Wednesday, November 27, our customer service call center will close at 2:00 PM PT and remain closed on Thursday, November 28, in observance of the holiday. On Friday, November 29, the call center will also close at 11:00 AM PT. We will return to normal business hours on Monday, December 2.

This infographic is to remind you to order your prepaid card in time for holiday shopping. To order your prepaid card, log into your CalABLE portal and order your card. It typically takes up to 6-8 business days to receive your first card in the mail. If you need help, please call 833-225-2253. Here are some possible examples of holiday qualified disability expenses: travel, decorations, holiday attire, food, blankets, and more! And remember that the expense must be for the benefit of the account holder.
