Washougal Pendleton Mill - free! 
We’re going to try this one again (I was told staffing shouldn’t be an issue this year.) Tour starts at 11am and is about 1 hour and involves 1 mile of walking. Wear comfortable shoes. We’ll roam the store afterwards and then head into town for lunch. 

December 4th Thursday 3:30-6:00pm 
Portland Night Market - free  
Meet some of Portland’s makers and creators, more than 175 of them! Celebrate 
local food, culture, music & retail in this Central Eastside indoor location. Food is 
available.

December 8th Monday 10:00-3:00pm 
City of Corvallis 
Third times a charm! We will explore the downtown area of Corvallis, home of 
Oregon State University and eat lunch there.

December 11th Thursday 5:30-8:00pm 
Winter Wonderland at Portland International Raceway - $12-15 
Described as the “largest holiday light shows in the Northwest,” this is a great one for chilly days because we can drive through in the bus! View over 250 colorful 
light set pieces and fully animated scenes. There is a set price for the bus so the 
more who come the cheaper it will be. All proceeds will benefit Sunshine Division’s year-round hunger relief efforts in Portland.

December 15th Monday 10:00-2:30pm 
Benson Gingerbread House & IKEA 
We’ll stop by the historic downtown hotel to see this year's iteration of the 
gingerbread house and then head to IKEA for folks to take care of any last-minute holiday shopping needs. Lunch at the cafeteria.

December 18th Thursday 5:15-7:30 
Old Spaghetti Factory - Christmas Ships on Parade 
Reservations at 5:30 for this Portland staple. After dinner watch the ships make 
their way down the Willamette River starting at 7pm. Might be a good idea to bring cold weather gear in case the ships are late, and we need to watch outside.

Cannon Beach - $10 gas fee 
A senior center favorite. Let’s start the new year off right with a trip to the shore. 
We’re going to leave early to maximize the sun. Please dress for all weather and 
bring money for lunch. 

January 8th Thursday 10:00-2:30 
Portland Art Museum - Free! 
First free Thursdays return. The renovations are now complete and much more of the collection will be on display. Pick your own location for lunch downtown or 
bring your own.

The new welcome area at our Barbur location is taking shape! We can’t wait to greet our Senior Center members here soon.

Construction at our new Barbur location is nearly complete, and we’re putting in the final touches as we await the installation of the elevator. Pictured above is the new welcome area for the Senior Center, which will soon be filled with familiar faces and warm conversations. It’s been amazing to see this space come to life, and we can’t wait to open our doors early next year! Now is a great time to get an early look. The holiday season is right around the corner, and that means it’s time for Winter Wishes, our annual community tradition of spreading warmth, joy, and generosity to local families.

Each year, neighbors come together to make the holidays a little brighter for those in need by donating gifts, clothing, and essentials from wish lists created by families in our programs. Whether it’s a cozy blanket, a warm winter coat, or a toy that sparks a child’s imagination, every contribution makes a difference.

You can make giving easier than ever this year! Use our upcoming QR code or visit our Amazon Wish List to purchase items directly or shop local and drop off your gifts at our Neighborhood House admin building.
