As the seasons change and midterms are in full swing, we know your student likely has a lot on their plate. This time of year can bring new challenges, so we encourage them to explore resources like our new Well-Being Wing and Counseling and Psychological Services (CPS) to support their mental health and well-being. And with this unusually warm fall weather, a bit of time outdoors can be a great way to recharge.
I also want to acknowledge the campus security message that was shared with students and staff Monday evening as well as the update that was sent out yesterday. We are thankful that no one was physically harmed as a result of last night’s incident. Families can now opt in to Athens Campus alerts. Please remind your student of our resources from CPS as well as 24/7 emergency crisis services.
Supporting your student’s safety and well-being is a priority we share with you. We’re here to provide assistance every step of the way, and we’re proud of all they’ve accomplished. With the halfway mark behind us, the finish line is in sight!
Warm regards,
Kathy
