During the uncertainty of the COVID-19 pandemic, UNF alumni Edward and Sara Lynn Jones established a nursing scholarship to support future healthcare providers, honoring their family’s military and law enforcement roots.
The scholarship empowered student Simone Covington to complete her nursing degree at UNF, intern at Houston Methodist Hospital, and now thrive as a cardiovascular ICU nurse at the very same institution.
Her journey reflects the Joneses’ vision: that giving back can build confidence, open doors and inspire others to reach beyond what they thought possible. Learn more.
