This PDX Team is Always at 100% for Customer Service
Port of Portland Airport Operations team members Cheranda Curtis (she/her), Matt Rosales (he/him), and Adam Tomaszewski (he/him) along with Charity Fenley (she/her) with Relay Resources, were nominated by Adam, a PDX traveler.
"My name is Adam, and I am a quadriplegic who was traveling on a flight out of PDX. Unfortunately, due to unanticipated challenges, we were stranded at the airport with no way to get home and a wheelchair that was at 10% battery.
Over the next eight hours, as we waited for a new flight, the night shift operations crew went above and beyond to locate a wheelchair charger that fit my chair. Additionally, they supplied us with water, food, and much needed kindness. The team who helped deserve to be recognized for their exemplary customer service. Thank you."

Supporting Federal Colleagues During the Shutdown
It’s often said that PDX feels like family: We care for each other when help is needed. While the government shutdown continues, we’re finding ways to support federal colleagues who continue to work without pay.
Starting today, we’re kicking off a donation drive for household items, non-perishable food, and gift cards. Want to help? You can drop off Items in the donation bins located at the bottom of the main terminal stadium stairs. No cash, checks, or cash cards, please.
Several concessions are also offering 30% discounts for uniformed federal employees. Check out the latest employee discounts and watch for updates as deals are added.
Our federal partners are showing up every day and keeping things moving – let’s return the kindness.

PDX Gives Big at United Blood Drive
Apparently, exceeding goals is just in our blood – literally! At last week’s United Airlines sponsored blood drive at PDX, we exceeded our goal and collected 61 total units.
🩸 65 donors showed up ready to give
🩸 5 Power Red donations
🩸 20 first-time donors, resulting in 19 productive units
For those ready to roll up their sleeves (or try it for the first time), mark your calendar: The next blood drive is Tuesday, Jan. 13. You’ll walk away with gift cards, swag, and the best perk of all – knowing you helped save lives.
