PREDENTAL EVENT

Tufts Predental Society will be hosting a dinner with Dr. Timothy Osborn, MD, DDS, FACS. Dr. Osborn is a graduate of University of Minnesota Dental School and is the lead dentist at Craniomaxillofacial Surgery Associates in Somerville, MA. He is also on staff at Boston University, Boston Medical Center, and Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center.

Join them on April 30th at 5:30 pm in the Dewick conference room to hear Dr. Osborn’s journey to dentistry and ask him questions. There will be free dinner also!

JOB/POSTGRAD OPPORTUNITY

1. Clinical Research Coordinator (CRC) in the Department of Surgery’s Gynecology Service at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City. 

2-year commitment, ideally beginning between May – July of this year.

As a CRC in the service, your duties would include:
* Assisting in the management of clinical trials and research studies that involve surgery, chemotherapy, immunotherapy, databases, and quality of life.
* Overseeing and scheduling patient research activities, including protocol appointments, study interventions, and questionnaires.
* Abstracting medical charts used in departmental research protocols.
* Opportunities to work with patients and surgeons.  

Additional details:
As an integral member of the MSK research team and in compliance with all regulatory, institutional, and departmental requirements, performs data collection, data entry and data analysis for research projects, databases, and research protocols within MSKCC. Ensures data quality and integrity during each phase of data collection and for each protocol assigned.

* Utilizes appropriate methodologies to collect human subject information for a research project, database, and/or protocol. 
* Generates reports to all necessary parties on the progress of the research project, database, or protocol. 
* Facilitates and acts as primary liaison for monitoring visits and audits conducted by outside sponsors or internal CR QA. 
* Participates in activities to ensure accurate and complete data and regulatory compliance.

2. Dana-Farber Cancer Institute Research Data Specialist - Genitourinary Oncology

The Research Data Specialist will support the clinical research program in the areas of data collection, computing, and database organization. Duties include the examination, synthesis, and evaluation of medical records; the abstraction and recording of pertinent medical information; and the monitoring of patient status.
