Bang on a Can and MASS MoCA in North Adams present the annual LOUD Weekend, a three-day eclectic mix of creative, experimental, and unusual music. The weekend features the Kronos Quartet Five Decades; Love in Exile (Arooj Aftab, Vijay Iyer, and Shahzad Ismaily); Paola Prestini’s House of Zodiac: Poems for Cello performed by Jeffrey Zeigler with films by Murat Eyuboglu; Catalan folk duo Tarta Relena; ten world premieres by The Bang on a Can Summer Festival Composers; and more. More info

Early registration for the Authors Guild WIT (Words, Ideas, and Thinkers) Festival is now open for sponsors, partners, and AGF Giving Society members. Registration will open to the public on July 31. The three-day ideas festival runs from September 21–23 in Lenox and features 25 award-winning authors, including Michael Cunningham, Rita Dove, Stacy Schiff, and Patrick Radden Keefe. Artist's Talk & Special Exhibition

Award-winning found-object and site-specific installation virtuoso Georges Adéagbo, from Benin, West Africa, will be in conversation at Chesterwood with Karen Milbourne, curator at Smithsonian's National Museum of African Art. Adéagbo's exhibition at Chesterwood in Stockbridge will be on view through September 4. A performance by world jazz ensemble Heard will follow the talk. More info

Keep it Moo'ving

5K Walk & Run

Sun July 30, 8:30 a.m.
In collaboration with the Berkshire Running Foundation, High Lawn Farm is hosting the Keep it Moo’ving 5K! The course leaves the historic farmstead (which is celebrating its 100th anniversary!) along Summer Street fields and picturesque Laurel Lake and returns to the farm for a well-deserved ice cream. Open to all abilities and levels of fitness. All proceeds will benefit Berkshire Bounty. More info

Jacob’s Pillow celebrates the 50th anniversary of Hip-Hop with a festival within the Festival. A one-of-a-kind program in the Ted Shawn Theatre will feature dance artists including Rennie Harris Puremovement American Street Dance Theater, which returns to the Pillow after 13 years.
