CONHI Faculty are helping to shape the future of healthcare simulation technology. The Society for Simulation in Healthcare (SSH) is a leading international, interprofessional organization dedicated to advancing healthcare quality and patient safety through simulation-based education, research, innovation, standards, and practice. The SSH's Present and Future of Simulation Technology white paper provides a forward-looking, interdisciplinary perspective on how emerging technologies may shape healthcare simulation, education, workforce preparation, and patient care. This work highlights CONHI’s strong presence in an international, interdisciplinary dialogue shaping the global future of healthcare simulation technology.

CONHI faculty members Dr. Elizabeth Kreuze (Principal Investigator) and Dr. Elizabeth Merwin (Co-Investigator) collaborated with fellow UTA faculty members Dr. Wei You (Statistician and Data Analyst), and Emily Whitfield (Statistician) and received the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing Doris Bloch research award.

Dr. Yue Liao recently received a NIH R01 grant from the National Institute on Minority Health and Health Disparities, titled "Investigating associations between stress-related daily social experiences and risks of hypertension and cardiovascular disease". This project will use a multilevel approach that develops state-of-the-science measures to assess adults' daily stress-related experience at the interpersonal level and individual level, and apply these measures to investigate the associations between those daily experiences and the biophysiological mechanisms related to CVD risks. Co-investigators include Dr. Paul Fadel and Dr. Daisha Cipher. The grant award amount is $3,817,901.

Liberty Hayes arrived at The University of Texas at Arlington planning to become a nurse. Along the way, she discovered a passion for exercise science and American Sign Language. Today, the recent graduate is combining both to help bridge communication gaps for Deaf and hard-of-hearing patients at a North Texas physical therapy clinic.
