On Wednesday, July 23, 2025, Federico Gomez-Uroz Horst presented at the 2025 Insights Webinar Series. The 9-in-9 Overtime: 3.0 UDL Insights Webinar Series, sponsored by the Goodwin University Institute for Learning Innovation and the Goodwin University Center for Teaching Excellence, consists of 60-minute webinar focused on actionable strategies specifically designed for higher education.
Federico's session, titled: "Play and Learn: Building Emotional Capacity by Integrating Gamification" explored how gamification can enhance emotional capacity in alignment with UDL Guideline 9. It discussed strategies to address learner motivation, build empathy, and encourage reflection through role-play, narratives, and collaboration. Attendees explored practical cases and design approach to integrate gamification into higher education. The session emphasized positive, emotionally supportive learning environments that promote student success and well-being.
