Celebrate the enduring legacy of local HBCU art programs as seen in our current exhibitions Kindred Spirits and David C. Driskell & Friends. This Frist Friday is a toast to creativity, collaboration, and community. Break out your smartest looks and come dance, mingle, and make art!
- RAIDEN will be spinning tunes all night long in the Grand Lobby. At 8:30 p.m., Frist Associate Curator Michael Ewing and Hikko Mori will present a special exhibition-inspired DJ set.
- Throughout the evening in Martin ArtQuest, Dominique âYOUNIQUEâ Coleman will host a âDesign Your Own Sneakerâ activity. Add your sneaker creation to our display wall and at the end of the event, Dominique will choose his favorite designâearning the winner a free Frist membership!
- From 8:30 to 9:30 p.m., join Frist staff and curators for engaging Art Chats in the galleries.
- Pre-game at 6:00 p.m. with live music in Café Cheeserie and themed menu items available until 9:00 p.m.

Get a closer look at local organic farming. We will start the day at the Frist with a guided tour of Farm to Table, then head to Bloomsbury Farm in Smyrna, Tennessee, for a group picnic on the beautiful grounds provided by the Grilled Cheeserie, featuring local and organic ingredients. After lunch, we âll tour the grounds at Bloomsbury Farm to see, feel, and taste the spring season!

Experience an evening of reflection and inspirational conversation with Nashville creatives, hosted by Sunday Night Soulâs Jason Eskridge and East Side Storytellinâs Chuck Beard.
This featured guests this month are Kaleah Wooten, a vocalist, songwriter, and producer from Huntsville, Alabama, and Ciona Rouse, a Nashville-based poet, editor, and educator.

Nashville Bonsai Societyâs 50th Anniversary Celebration and Showcase

Celebrate the living art of bonsai with the Nashville Bonsai Society! On both days, carefully curated trees from featured artists in Tennessee, Georgia, Alabama, and Mississippi will be on display. The courtyard will also host vendors for bonsai artists and enthusiasts and will feature pre-bonsai, planting materials, and handmade pottery.

Join artist Alyssa Gorman and learn how to use basic hand-building methods to create an organically shaped vase! We âll start with a tour of David C. Driskell & Friends and Kindred Spirits to get inspiration for our organic creations.
Following the lunch break, we âll meet up at the Clay Lady Campus, where you will hand-build your very own vases, with the option to add color and surface decoration.
