| SCHOOL BIBLES ARE SHAPING THE FAITH OF CHILDREN
Equipping youth with Bibles is crucial for the future of the global church. Oasis provided school children with Bibles through a new partnership with Scripture Union in four countries. Teachers and school libraries also gained access to Bibles and other resources. In the initial phase:
- Scripture Union Uganda distributed 1,000 Bibles to ten schools and has plans to reach 50 more schools with 10,000 Bibles.
- Through their Bible clubs, Scripture Union Malawi mobilized and equipped teachers and children. They plan to reach 6,400 children in 320 Bible clubs.
- Scripture Union Ghana will roll-out the distribution of 8,800 Bibles in two regions of Ghana in 2022.
- 10,000 Bibles are on the way to Nigeria for distribution by Scripture Union Nigeria.
Both public and Christian schools in Africa teach the Bible. For example, 70 teachers of the Kamwenge Secondary and Vocational School and Good Shepherd Primary School in Uganda are using the Africa Study Bible to teach reading, writing, and religious education.
Through your support, and established ministries like Awana, Association of Christian Schools International, Scripture Union and others, the children at Good Shepherd Primary School and countless more will soon have an affordable and easily understandable Bible that will grow their faith in Jesus.
"Ever since I started teaching the Bible lessons, I have seen much improvement in the lives of most of my students. Many a time when the students ask questions during the chapel hour, I let them read the Scriptures by themselves discovering the answers together. The Bibles are helping them with the Scripture memorization." –Tamakloe Eric , Bible Study Courses teacher, Torch Ministries, Ghana.
Friend, there's still time to make an impact in 2021 and we are counting on you.
Your gift of $40 today will see 10 students receive their own Bibles in 2022. Giving $100 will fund a classroom. Make your gift now before it's too late. Lets continue to shape the faith of future leaders together.

Through your continued support of BEPA (la Bible d’étude: perspectives africaines), the highly respected members of the Launch & Training Team (pictured above) met in early December in Cotonou, Benin. Their goal is to create awareness about BEPA and to facilitate training of its use for personal and ministry impact.
In the meetings, the team planned for major events in the Central African Republic, Chad, Ivory Coast, Cameroon, and Democratic Republic of the Congo.
The BEPA Team also held a trial training day for training of trainers in Benin. Representatives joined from Christian organizations and churches, including: the Benin Bible Society, Scripture Union, Wycliffe Benin, Langham Preaching, the Benin Bible Institute, African Christian Press Benin, and International Fellowship of Evangelical Students (known as InterVarsity in the USA). Two participants who traveled from Togo committed to become BEPA trainers in Togo.
“With la Bible d’étude africaine, we are now starting to receive what has been missing. I’m happy to know that we are going to soon have this (Bible study) tool and I am eager to be one if it’s ambassadors. It is going to help us move forward. Africa is moving ahead and we should be associated with this project and make our contribution to it." –Testimony from one of the trial training day’s participants
This project is a massive undertaking, but the lack of biblical resources in the French language makes the development of la BEPA worthwhile. Pray for the 20 translators, editors, and managers who are currently working to create the French edition by the end of 2021. Give towards the completion of this much needed resource today!

OASIS IS FULFILLING IT'S MISSION: VOICE OF THE CHURCH IN AFRICA
The Consultation on the Future of Theological Education in Africa for Sustainable Growth of the Church and Society kicked off November 26th to 28th in Nairobi. The Africa Study Bible was acknowledged as a shining example of what the future of collaboration looks like.
Drawing on the conference theme of theological education for sustainable growth in churches and society, Oasis's Regional Director for East Africa, Nyambura Kamau, highlighted the fact that church growth will not be sustainable unless discipleship and spiritual formation is addressed.
"All institutions need the wealth of wisdom, biblical research, and scholarship developed in our contextual realities, that is within theological institutions. Yet this is a resource that is needed by the pastor on the pulpit and the congregant in the pew for the church to grow to maturity."
–Nyambura Kamau, Oasis International Regional Director, East Africa
Ms Kamau challenged participants to consider writing for popular reading so the church at large can grow. The Africa Study Bible was showcased as a devotional and ministry resource for pastors and leaders with features that can be used to address contextual issues that pastors face.
