During this session, we will hear from faculty members Amur Hur, Peter Levine, Eitan Hersh, and Samuel Gebru on how to engage differences across the political spectrum. Attendees will be invited into a dialogue following the session to reflect on the panel and build understanding of other people’s lived experiences related to this topic. The Tufts Inclusive Education Series (TIES) is a workshop and dialogue series launched by the Office of the Vice Provost for Institutional Inclusive Excellence (IIE) in collaboration with various partners across campus. The series is designed to equip Tufts community members with the knowledge and tools needed to mitigate various forms of bias. These educational workshops and dialogue sessions offer a unique opportunity to deepen our understanding of discrimination while learning practical steps to advocate for positive change. The objective of this series is to create an inclusive environment at Tufts where dialogue is centered and community members participate in meaningful opportunities to humanize one another through generous listening.
