Law Day on the Hill

Thursday, 2/27, 6:00-8:00pm, Alumnae Lounge
Now in its 17th year, the Tufts Lawyers Association invites alumni to the annual Law Day on the Hill, a partnership with Tufts Career Center, taking place on Thursday, February 27. 
The evening begins with a light dinner and panel discussion focusing on current issues in constitutional law and election law. The evening wraps up with plenty of time for students and alumni to speak one-on-one in more detail about their careers, law school, and other applicable topics. REGISTER NOW.

Summer Prep Program Foundations

This seven week program is designed for any male college student from a diverse background who will have completed their college freshmen year by the end of May 2020. It is sponsored by the LSAC Prelaw Undergraduate Scholars (PLUS) Program and is a (mostly) free program. 
This innovative pipeline program features a unique academic and professionalism course that is taught by expert faculty and focuses on critical reading, writing and thinking skills as well as professionalism skills such as time management and speaking up.  Additionally, students are matched to four week, full-time legal internships in the New York City area where they work closely with lawyers and/or judges. EXPLORE LAW 2020 - MAY 18 - 22, 2020
Are you thinking about going to law school? Are you choosing between law and another graduate program? Do you need more information about law school admission, the LSAT, law school classes or legal career paths?
Join us for Explore Law, a tuition-free, residency program held at Penn State Law in University Park, Pa., available to any undergraduate student--regardless of location, major, or residence--who is interested in learning more about law school. Explore Law will give you the opportunity to learn about multiple fields of law and myriad law careers from law professors, judges, and practicing attorneys. Deadline to apply is March 23, 2020. LexScholars by AccessLex
Are you an aspiring law student from an underrepresented racial, ethnic and socioeconomic background? LexScholars participants will benefit from access to various resources, including LSAT preparation; law school admission counseling; financial education; wellness training; and writing skills development. There are no costs associated with LexScholars. Some participants will receive stipends and other financial aid. The 2020 applications will be posted on February 3. Click here to learn more.
CLEO Road to Law School
Designed to identify, motivate and prepare students for a career in the legal profession. Committed students can learn how to successfully navigate the law school admission process and underwrite their success in law school by participating in the College Scholars program.

Hertog Foundation's 2020 Fellowships & Seminars
If you could study with some of the world’s top thinkers on some of the world’s most important topics – war and grand strategy, economic policy, or political thought and philosophy – which would you choose? Each year, the Hertog Foundation brings together top college students to the nation’s capital to explore the theory and practice of politics in an intensive seminar setting with outstanding faculty. This summer’s offerings provide students the flexibility to create their ideal summer experience – by applying for a seven-week summer fellowship or choosing among one to two week seminars to create their own individualized course of study. Summer 2020 Public Defender Internship
 The Public Defenders provide Indigent individuals charged with criminal or serious motor vehicle charges with free or limited cost legal defense. The Public Defender of Metuchen invites students interested in attending law school or a career in law enforcement to apply to serve as volunteer interns.  Metuchen NJ Public Defender Volunteer Internships summer 2020 for 4th year college students and college grads.
