Mitchell Ryan was nominated as winner of this week's PDX People.
Mitchell Ryan’s Can-do Attitude Inspires Others
Mitchell Ryan (he/him) at Paradies Lagardère was nominated by his manager:
"Mitchell recently started in our warehouse. He was quiet at first but has now become one of the most influential and fun personalities in a place that needed a morale boost. He leads by example and shows leadership with his work ethic. He is always on task and when he's done with his assignment, he helps others or asks management for something more to do.
Mitchell's positive attitude reflects on everyone around him and improves the atmosphere at work – he has shown his co-workers that it's just part of the job. I often catch him sweeping the warehouse and hallway after a long day's work so when the morning crew arrives, it's ready to go and looks good. His can-do attitude is a great addition to our team."

What’s New with PDX Next: Emergency Route Update, Ticket Lobby Work and Oversize Bag Move
South Ticket Lobby: Now through Wednesday, Dec. 20, from 9 p.m. to 3 a.m., access to one or two of the south side escalators will be blocked for safety as the overhead work proceeds. A spotter will be present to direct pedestrian traffic around the closed area and to the elevators, which will be operational during this time.
Emergency Egress Change: Emergency egress from Concourse E and the United Lounge now exits through the north ticket lobby. A new overhead emergency exit sign was installed at the Concourse E bypass entrance as part of this change.
Central Ticket Lobby: ow through Friday, Jan. 5, crews will relocate kiosks and install temporary walls along the window wall in the central ticket lobby across from the Southwest counters. This is in preparation for a second common use counter location that will open in January.
Reminder about TSA Oversize Bag Drop: Last week, two temporary TSA oversize bag drop locations opened in baggage claim and the TSA oversize bag drop in the ticket lobby permanently closed. These temporary locations – near baggage carousel 2 and 9 – are in place through May 2024.

If your workplace permits, you're encouraged to dress up...but keep your badge visible and your sweater work appropriate, of course.
