Grammar School Friends Enjoying the Beautiful Day!
MESSAGE FROM THE HEAD OF SCHOOL
Mrs. Susan Oweis
Dear PCS Families and Friends,
As the flowers bloom and the days grow longer, we find ourselves reflecting on the vibrant season of spring—and the equally vibrant spirit of Christ within our school community. This time of year, it always feels like a celebration of growth, energy, and new beginnings. Walking through the halls and across the campus, it's impossible not to feel the excitement that this season brings. The students know that the end of the year is just around the corner.
Our students have accomplished so much this year. From academic achievements to athletic milestones, from creative art, music and drama endeavors to acts of service, they continue to impress us with their talents, character, and drive. It’s a joy to watch them grow not just as learners, but as leaders and friends. Your children are some of the sweetest people I know. Their love for one another is deep.
Spring is also a time when we begin to look ahead. Our faculty and staff are already thoughtfully planning for the next school year, ensuring that we continue to challenge, support, and inspire every student in meaningful ways. But before we jump too far ahead, we want to savor the moments still to come this spring—performances, field trips, moving-up ceremonies, the science fair and of course, end-of-year classroom celebrations.
I’m continually grateful for the partnership we share with you, our families. Your involvement, encouragement, and trust make all the difference. Thank you for being such an integral part of our community.
As we enter these final months of the school year, let’s continue to cheer on our students, support one another, and celebrate the incredible journey we’re on together.
With appreciation,

Susan Oweis

SENIOR SPOTLIGHT

Christopher Elijah Wert
What grade did you start at PCS? I started at PCS in the eighth grade.

Do you have any favorite memories at school?  My favorite memories are too numerous to tell, however they all include my closest friends, whom have help me through tough times and were all guiding lights in my life.

What's been your favorite area of study/subject? That's a tough question because there were many subjects I have loved at PCS, but my two favorite have been Anatomy and History 12.

How has PCS helped you beyond just book learning?
PCS has helped me grow as a Christian and a peron by giving me the chance to learn about Christ our Savior.

What are your thoughts about the future, college plans?
I will attend Liberty University in the Fall and plan to study Nursing.

What advice do you give to the younger students at PCS?
Advice I would give to all PCS students would be DO NOT PROCRASTINATE. Get your work in on time and use good time management skills.

What will you miss about PCS next year?  I will definitely miss my teachers and my friends. Being at a smaller school, your teachers and friends become a big part of every day life as we interact so closely together each day.

Our 2nd annual Parent-Teacher Book Fellowship where faculty and parents met to discuss universal truths and themes from the classic literature, The Scarlet Letter. Not only did this gathering provide an opportunity for school community fellowship, parents experienced what an upper school rhetoric class entails, which maybe opened doors for academic conversations with their children about how and what they are learning. We look forward to hosting more fellowships next year!

and whatever instruction fails to do this is effort spent in vain.”
