'Tis the season to fall in love with history at Jamestown Settlement and the American Revolution Museum at Yorktown with time-honored traditions and new experiences that connect you and your family with the stories of our shared history – all from a safe social distance. This November, explore the Powhatan Indian culture in early Virginia through refreshed gallery exhibits featuring new historical research and interpretive programs each day in a re-created Paspahegh town at Jamestown Settlement. At the American Revolution Museum at Yorktown, discover the stories of American Indians on both sides of the Revolutionary War in engaging films and exhibits. With so much to do and see, it’s easy to plan your fall escape with a variety of tickets and package options.

FALL INTO HISTORY
NEW FOR FAMILIES • NOVEMBER 9-20
Families can enjoy special admission and activities during Fall Into History at Jamestown Settlement and the American Revolution Museum at Yorktown. Experience a new way for students to explore 17th- and 18th-century Virginia history outside of the classroom or computer screen with in-person interactive programs, virtual learning opportunities and access to a guided tour with a museum educator. Tickets are $13 per family member and include unlimited admission to both museums November 9-20.
DRESSING FOR THE PAST
VIRTUAL LECTURE • NOVEMBER 19 • 7 P.M.
Reservations are now available for viewers to join Historical Clothing Manager Chris Daley for a free virtual lecture November 19 on Dressing for the Past to discover how period clothing is re-created at our museums and how extant garments, period illustrations and historic documents are used to reproduce clothing and accessories in exacting detail for living-history interpreters of the 17th and 18th centuries. Registration is limited and required in advance.
FOODS & FEASTS OF COLONIAL VIRGINIA
SPECIAL EVENT • NOVEMBER 27 & 28
Long before microwaves, electric stoves and refrigerators, explore how early Virginians prepared meals in clay pots and iron kettles over hot coals, and preserved food by smoking and salt curing. Start the holiday season by digging into the foodways of early America during Foods & Feasts of Colonial Virginia, a two-day event on November 27 and 28 at both Jamestown Settlement and the American Revolution Museum at Yorktown. A special Thanksgiving Day dinner will be offered November 26 in the Jamestown Settlement Café.
