Special Edition: Resources for Multifamily Property Managers During COVID-19
It hasn't been long since our last edition, but given the depth and breadth of the economic and social hardships facing us during these challenging times, we wanted to share resources that may help your residents and staff navigate as we continue the reopening process.
Clackamas County Go Teams
Feeling isolated or alone? Are things too stressful or overwhelming right now? Go Teams can help.
Go Teams are made up of people trained to listen and provide support in times of struggle. They can try to help reduce distress, work to improve existing coping skills, and assist in locating and navigating additional resources, if needed.
If you or someone you love needs to talk, call the Clackamas County Crisis and Support Line at 503-655-8585.

FREE Food Resources in Clackamas County
With an increasing number of households facing food insecurity, we want to help folks who need food find it.
The Oregon Food Bank's Food Finder tool identifies affiliated pantries that continue to offer food during COVID-19. Enter a zip code to find local food pantries or view a list of all affiliated pantries. Additional, non OFB-affiliated food pantries exist throughout the county, as well.
The Salvation Army is providing free food boxes at Clackamas Town Center on Fridays from 9am to 1pm. For more information: English I Spanish I Russian I Vietnamese
Other food box events continue to pop up across the county. Visit Clackamas County's COVID-19 resources for upcoming events.

Deposit Bottle Redemption in Phase 1 Reopening
In addition to BottleDrop redemption centers and BottleDrop Express drop sites, all Clackamas County retailers that are required to accept deposit bottles and cans for redemption should now be doing so (the same is not yet true in Multnomah County). Due to physical distancing requirements and high demand, retailers may not be able to accommodate all returns.
To find locations near you, use Bottle Drop's Location Finder or see the OLCC's informational flyer with redemption center locations.

Bulky Waste - Repair, Donation, and Disposal
Due to physical distancing, collection of large, bulky items (furniture, refrigerators, etc.) may be disrupted. Contact your garbage company to learn about options.
Alternatively, some reuse stores are beginning to reopen. For shopping or donation of items in good, working condition, encourage residents to contact the individual store for specifics (e.g. what, how, and when to shop/donate.). Some options include:
Or perhaps the item simply needs a little TLC. Before discarding an item, encourage residents to repair! Repairing can be a great option to protect both people's pocketbook and the planet...and maybe even learn a new skill! For helpful videos and step-by-step guides, visit:
For items that cannot be repaired or donated, the Metro South Transfer Station in Oregon City remains open, though they are asking visitors to follow some guidelines outlined on their website to help stop the spread of COVID-19.

Clackamas County: Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion
At their June 4th meeting, the Board of County Commissioners discussed the killing of George Floyd and the ensuing national and local protests. COVID-19's disproportionate impacts on people of color is another reminder of the systemic racial injustices in our country. Chair Bernard stated, "I believe that our country must change, because all Americans do not receive equal treatment. African-Americans and other minorities should never have to live in fear simply because of the color of their skin." He later asks County Counsel to "review Clackamas County laws and ordinances for express or implied bias, so that the Commission can make the necessary changes," and asks the same of Clackamas County Cities.
For more details, watch the video or read Chair Bernard's full statement.
