Congratulations on finishing Week 10 of the semester! As we get to a busy part of the semester, I want to acknowledge all the hard work and dedication you've put in so far. Spring is the season of renewal and growth, and it's the perfect time to refocus and build on all the successes you've experienced so far. Student Services is here to support you along the way, so please take advantage of all the resources available to you.

Pirate Tip of the Week: Keep It Going
As the semester progresses, staying motivated and on track is key to finishing strong.
- Reflect on the goals you set at the start of the semester. Are you on track, or do you need to adjust your priorities?
- Break larger goals into smaller, actionable steps to keep them achievable.
- Take time to acknowledge your progress, whether it's acing a test, finishing a project, or simply staying consistent.
- Reward yourself with something enjoyable, like a treat, a break, or time with friends, to keep morale high.
- Combat the mid-semester slump by revisiting your original motivations—why you're pursuing your goals.
- Use a vision board, journal, or planner to remind yourself of the bigger picture and reignite your drive.
Remember that we are stronger together. Please take care of yourself and each other.

"Be Somebody Who Makes Everybody Feel Like a Somebody" is a quote I've made my own throughout my time in Higher Education. I always aspire to be a great leader and lead by example for my students so they can do the same for others!
The R.I.S.E Gen 1 program is designed to guide first-generation students through all facets of their college experience. The program has a specific mission of building a community of academics, social acceptance, and leadership where first-generation students feel a sense of acceptance and belonging to the institution.
"The RISE GEN 1 program introduced me to so many resources that can help me including job opportunities or even how to get involved on campus...This program is very welcoming, and it is the reason why I am where I am. I have met some of my closest friends being a part of this program, and I am very happy to say that I have so many people to seek help from because of RISE GEN 1." - Seton Hall Student
