Let Us Help You Commit to My Jewish Future Pledge
We are thrilled to report that under the stewardship of philanthropist Mike Leven, My Jewish Future Pledge is taking off in our community and the Atlanta Jewish Foundation is here to support the pledge. The idea is simple. Over the next 25 years as much as $60 trillion is expected to transfer from the Baby Boomer generation to their children and grandchildren. Of that figure, possibly 10% will be in Jewish hands.
My Jewish Future Pledge asks you to commit that at least 50% of your assets intended for charitable purposes at death be directed to efforts to strengthen and serve the Jewish people and/or the State of Israel.
This unprecedented intergenerational wealth transfer is an incredible opportunity to sustain the Jewish future in Atlanta, the United States and around the world.
We’re here to help you think about the role you can play by committing your charitable dollars to address long-term Jewish needs. There are many vehicles for your gift, including donor-advised funds and funds for specific charities or causes. We can also help you create endowments, donor-advised fund and advise on other forms of giving.
AJF would be privileged to work with you to formalize your Jewish Future Pledge, including sharing and illuminating your values and priorities with your children and grandchildren. We look forward to launching a new Legacy Fund in the near future that will enable you to create a fund to specifically implement your pledge. Contact Christy Eckoff for more information.
