Some words from Toni Packer - Why it is good to have a Center
Some words from Toni Packer - Why it is good to have a Center
". . . But somehow with this whole project, we’ve learned so much . . . It’s a good thing to have a place of quiet and a beautiful spot to question alone and together into ourselves. That’s a good thing for human beings. It’s actually urgently needed in our present time of living so blindly, so darkly, so violently, so painfully to ourselves and each other. It’s a good thing to have a place like this."
Toni Packer, from a 1992 retreat talk, referring to the project to build the Center facility.

Dear friends -  If you appreciate the presence of the Center in your lives, please know that retreat fees and membership dues meet only part of the expense of Center operations. Your donation is also needed to help make possible the program of retreats, guest and volunteer possibilities and allow for major repairs and purchases. Please donate as generously as you can to help the vital work of meditative inquiry continue for all who take part. The Center is a 501(c)(3) organization. Donations, membership dues and retreat contributions are tax-deductible as allowed by law.
Upcoming Retreats
November 28 - December 2

A four-day retreat with Richard Witteman, Sandra Gonzalez and Wayne Coger. Space remains in this weekend-spanning retreat in which all three will give talks and be available for group and private meetings. Richard, Wayne and Sandra will not  not be together again in retreat until next summer. Be sure to take advantage of this opportunity to connect with them all.
Dec. 27 - Jan. 3 - Seven-day retreat with Stephan Bielfeldt encompassing the New Year's holiday -
Stephan is fluent in English and German. This retreat is filling, but space still remains.
Stephan spoke the following words in a very fine talk from last year's retreat: "If this 'me' is silent, there is no separation, no one and nothing to be attained. We flow in a stream where everything is going on its own - no doer, only this amazing stream and energy of life!"  In the talk he delves into the following questions: "What is this world?" What is our role in this world?" and "Does life have a meaning?" Access this link to hear the talk.
Also, a recent article by Stephan titled "How Can There Be Harmony Between Thoughts and Feelings?" may be accessed here.  See his web page for more information about Stephan.
Center Closed Jan 4 - 12 - The Center is closed for a week following the retreat with Stephan. Guests are welcome beginning January 13.
The 2015 Calendar is now available. Register for retreat at Springwater Center.

For German speakers - Thanks to Michael Peters, who has posted six videos on YouTube of Toni's talks from the May 1996 retreat in Roseburg Germany filmed by Daniela ButschAccess the talks here. If you don't speak German and would like to spend a few moments with Toni, she quietly walks around the lake in Roseburg in the last few minutes of the final video.
