As we close out the spring semester, I am pleased to share two significant milestones that will chart the future of Hofstra University.
On May 1, Hofstra unveiled a refreshed brand identity that represents an exciting new chapter with a new logo as the centerpiece. The logo features a bold modern shield that frames the University’s iconic “H” monogram. The shape suggests an open book while paying homage to Hofstra’s Dutch heritage with its tulip-like form. This refresh reflects the mission, goals and aspirations of the Hofstra 100 strategic plan, reflecting not just who we are but where we want to go.
Earlier this year, Hofstra announced that it had earned the distinction of a High Research Spending and Doctorate Production University (R2) by the Carnegie Classification of Institutions of Higher Education. This distinction recognizes Hofstra’s leadership role in higher education, offering hands-on research opportunities for students while strengthening the economic vitality of our community.
Looking ahead, we are excited to celebrate the accomplishments of the spring 2025 graduating students. Commencement ceremonies will take place on May 18, and 19, honoring their hard work and tenacity.
