For the past 21 years, the Student Wellness Fair has utilized the 8 Dimensions of Wellness to provide students with campus and community resources to help them best care for themselves as they strive for academic success.
Each year over 30 vendors come to campus to give students information about Physical Wellness, Emotional Wellness, Occupational Wellness, Environmental Wellness, Social Wellness, Spiritual Wellness, Intellectual Wellness, and Financial Wellness.
This year's fair will be held on Wednesday, October 5, 2022 from 11:00am-2:00pm at the Student Plaza just north of the Maxine A. Smith University Center.

On October 5th from 10am -3pm on the UC Alumni Lawn, UofM Dining will be hosting a large farmer’s market event, called Fall Festi-Ful. Many local vendors will come together on the University of Memphis campus to share their goods, meet with students, and create meaningful memories as the school year kicks off. University of Memphis will be one of 300+ college campuses simultaneously celebrating Fall Festi-Ful. Students and faculty will be able to come together on campus, learn about the hard-working people behind our nation’s food supply, and show support for them and their local businesses. There will be seasonal foods, s'mores, a photo booth, live music, free giveaways, and so much more! Tiger Den will also be serving a full fall themed lunch menu, including fun favorites such as caramel apples, squash risotto, and apple braised pork loin. The University of Memphis Symphonic Band performs a wide range of repertoire and styles, including new works by contemporary composers, presented alongside the classics of the wind band genre. | CLAW Conference/All Majors Career Fair
The Time in Now to prepare for the Career Fair! The Career Fair is October 14, 2022, and this year, we are partnering with SLI to be a part of the C.L.A.W. conference! This will be a DAY where you can gain skills, hear from professionals, and explore job and internship opportunities from our employer partners! You will be introduced to the C.L.A.W. Competencies and have a moment to intentionally network with professionals! Here are a few ways to prepare to engage with professionals: Register for the C.L.A.W. Conference in TigerZone Practice your Elevator Pitch. This is a 30 second statement to introduce yourself to the employer. The Elevator Pitch will include your name, academic program, and any skills or experience you have related to the role or company. Research the companies that will be attending the Career Fair. | 2022 Hispanic Film Festival
The Department of World Languages and Literatures at the University of Memphis presents the 13 Hispanic Film Festival to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month. This year’s hybrid format, sponsored by Dixon Gallery and Gardens, will show five renowned films screened in-person and virtually. Upcoming sessions will be held at the University Center Theater (UC 145). Movies, in Mixtec, Zapotec or Spanish with English subtitles, will be shown at 6 pm. Get Ready for Scheidt at the Shell: Frankenstein in Concert
It's ALIVE! Join us for a frightfully good time at this year's Scheidt at the Shell: Frankenstein in Concert. The University of Memphis Wind Ensemble will play 1931 classic movie score as the film plays on giant screens in high-definition. So grab your picnic baskets, chairs and spookiest costumes and join us for this free concert at historic Overton Shell. Come early for our costume contest and Monster Mash dance party! The competition is stiff (get it!), so make sure to go all out for the costume contest! Judging starts at 6 PM, with awards going to the best overall costume in the kid and adult divisions. Movie + music start at 6:30 PM with a 1.5 hour run time.
