Q. What if I certify after September 13?
If you complete the certification after September 13, you will NOT be able to access campus until your certification is affirmed. You will be notified when your certification is affirmed and you are able to access campus. You will continue to have access to all virtual services and programs.
Please Note: Completing your certification will require additional steps including submitting supplemental materials such as your vaccination card or providing documentation for exemptions if requested. Fully completing your certification may take time, do not delay.
Q. What if I have a face-to-face class and I have not certified by September 13th?
If you have face-to-face courses but have not certified by Sept. 13th, you are not permitted to come to campus to attend your classes. We realize some students may be working through vaccination or exemptions at this time. Thus, your face-to-face courses will not be administratively dropped until Sept. 27th. If you have not certified by Sept. 27th, your face-to-face courses will be administratively dropped.
Important Note: If your courses are administratively dropped, you could lose eligibility for financial aid and potentially owe prorated registration fees and/or financial aid overawards to the university.
Q. What if I declare a Medical or Religious Exemption?
Students who declare an exemption and plan to access campus are not vaccinated. Students in this situation will be required to take a COVID-19 test twice a week. Students should monitor their Sac State emails for information on the COVID testing process which will be coming soon. On-campus testing will take place in the first level of Parking Structure III starting on September 13.
Q. How will Sac State verify my vaccination certification?
We will be selecting random samples of students to verify vaccination and exemption status. If you are notified via email or text that we need additional documentation, you must supply the required documents immediately to maintain access to the campus.
