Tufts Student Life
CHECK OUT YOUR CHECKLIST!
MAY 19, 2020
Hello Jumbos,
As President Monaco shared in his email last week, Tufts University is closely monitoring the ongoing situation regarding the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic and its impact on the start of the fall semester as well as Undergraduate Orientation. While we continue to plan for an on-campus fall semester, no decision about when students may come or return to campus has been made. Our priority is the health and safety of our community, and our decisions will be made in consultation with local and state health authorities. As soon as decisions are made, they will be communicated to students and families so everyone can plan accordingly.

Start your New Student Checklist

You have a few responsibilities over the summer, and many of them can be completed online. We've just posted your customized new Student Checklist 2020 and have opened the Housing Survey for all students, as well as registration for Pre-Orientation! The New Student Checklist can be access on your Application Status page.

We encourage you to review each item on your New Student Checklist 2020 now so you can make plans and keep up with requirements. If you're currently short on time, make sure you at least get to work on these two items

1) Set up your Tufts Email, Student ID, and Username

Your very first step should be secure your Tufts email, student ID number, and username, if you haven't done so already. You'll use these for many important tasks over the summer and while you're enrolled at Tufts. We will send all official University communications exclusively to your @tufts.edu address starting June 1, so it's important to get your email set up and check it on a regular basis!

2) Complete the Housing Survey

We've opened the Housing Survey on your New Student Checklist 2020. Be sure to complete the survey by June 10. You'll need to log into your SIS account, then choose "Housing" on the bottom of the "About Me" tab.

Pre-Orientation

Pre-Orientation programs are a great way to ease into college by connecting with other incoming students and learning more about the Tufts experience from returning student leaders, all before Orientation officially begins. Register by June 10!
As Tufts University closely monitors the ongoing situation regarding the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic and its impact on the start of the fall semester, we recognize that Pre-Orientation programs will need to look different to prioritize the safety of our community. We'll regularly update the Pre-Orientation website as information becomes available.
