He anchors the 6 a.m., 7 a.m. and 9 a.m. newscasts. During interview portions, he’s had the opportunity to sit down with several big names including Janelle Monáe, Louis Gossett Jr., Marlon Wayans, T.I., and Bill Bellamy. He also covered the Atlanta Braves on their World Series
Baptiste initially enrolled at UNF as a music performance major with a scholarship for voice, before joining the School of Communication and fulfilling a childhood dream of being on TV. Learn more.

As we focus on our University pillars of leadership and scholarship, we’d like to introduce a new series, Schoolhouse Flock, where each month we dive into a new school led by Ospreys.
Let's start off with Seabreeze Elementary, led by alumna Aimee Kimball (M.Ed. ‘11) and located in Jacksonville Beach. They service 530 students with 30 teachers on staff, over half with a UNF degree.
“Ultimately what I love about this school is how the heart of the community flows through our hallways,” Kimball said. “Everyone pours so much of their time and energy into our school, and we make a committed effort to give back to Jacksonville Beach.” Learn more.
