Works In Progress Symposium

The Works in Progress Symposium (WIPS) provides undergraduates with an opportunity to share their research with peers as well as professors. Undergraduates who have conducted original research, scholarly, or creative projects under the guidance of a faculty mentor are invited to submit an application to WIPS. This symposium also welcomes presentations by students who are just beginning projects, and affords students the opportunity to present the background, rationale, plans and preliminary results from a project that is ongoing, rather than complete. Come out to support your friends and peers while learning about their research!

Alternative Break Experience Applications are Open!
Are you interested in doing service and traveling over spring break? ABE applications are open now on Tiger Zone! Secure your spot to go on an Alternative Break Experience trip March 9th - March 14th, 2025. The program is a 6-day 5-night service emersion trip planned by student leaders passionate about service. This year's topics include LGBTQ+ Rights, Social Justice / Refugee Support, Food Insecurity/Environmentalism, and City Empowerment. The program fee is $150 dollars which covers travel costs, food and lodging. Each trip will have a trip leader and a University of Memphis staff member. | Memphis & the World Photo Contest
Calling all global travelers! The Education Abroad Office is hosting a photo contest for students who participated in a UofM-sponsored study abroad program from Fall 2022 to Fall 2024. Eligible students are encouraged to submit a photo from their time abroad for a chance to win prizes - the 1st place prize being a $500 travel voucher. A committee of UofM faculty and/or staff will judge the submissions and afterward the photos will be available for a gallery viewing in the Ned R. McWherter Library Rotunda.
