| Two GIC Professors Win Faculty Scholar Awards |
Each year, Miami confers university honors on a select few faculty who have made an impact in their fields. This year two of the honorees come from the Department of Global and Intercultural Studies, a distinction that affirms the value of international and intercultural scholarship on campus and beyond. Congratulations!

This award honors faculty who have demonstrated great potential in research or artistry and have achieved significant standing in their fields.

University Faculty Scholar Award
This award honors faculty whose sustained excellence in research or other creative activity has brought them prominence in their fields.

Two GIC students were named among 14 semi-finalists from Miami University for the competitive 2025-2026 U.S. Fulbright Student Program. The final results will be released later this spring. Congratulations to our students for this impressive accomplishment!

This day-long event is open to all majors but geared specifically toward students in the Department of Global and Intercultural Studies, including majors and minors in International Studies, Critical Race and Ethnic Studies, American Studies, Latin American Studies, and, Women's, Gender, and Sexuality Studies. The event will be a combination of in-person career-focused workshops and a panel of employers who will speak with current students about their career paths.
