Advisor Clearance
All undergraduate students and first semester graduate students need advisor clearance before they can register for spring courses.
Advisors can see their individual advisee's checklist progress. Go to my.newpaltz.edu > Faculty Services > Advising Menu > Advisee listing
Holds
It is important for students to check for holds before registration. Some holds will prevent registration.
Students should go to my.newpaltz.edu > General > Holds
Registration
All students will register using My Schedule Planner during their registration time assignment.
Go to my.newpaltz.edu > Registration > My Schedule Planner.
Review the Schedule of Classes to see all course prerequisites and restrictions. A prerequisite or restriciton notation on My Schedule Planner does not mean the student is missing them.
Check filters! This is the most common reason students can't find a course in My Schedule Planner.
